96. Join the County Historical Society
I did I have a history with this group for the last 15 years or so. At their old location you could read books old phone books and other things this new place seemed kind of boring with just displays and a bookshop you can not use the library on the weekend.
I have known how they treat their employees and this place would not win any awards for employee rights or overall management skills it keeps getting bailed out etc...
The Masonic Library and Museum are much better place I love that Library and am a Freemason. I may become a life member of the Genealogical Society of the County because that group has a lot of books were a lot nicer people over all and a lifetime membership cost only $500 total vs $40 a year for the County Historical Society.
I was never a member till 2019. I am not sure I will stay a member. I joined after one of the main people I was annoyed with who worked at this group for years quit. A buddy of mine said I intimidated the guy who quit with my knowledge and that is why he was a dick to me.
I wrote this in May 2019 when I joined and wanted to think about it some before I posted this.
Another genealogy group that looks interesting

It offers free access to its resources and service online at FamilySearch.org, one of the most heavily used genealogy sites on the Internet.[2] In addition, FamilySearch offers personal assistance at more than 5,100 family history centers in 140 countries, including the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.
